My first child's belly cast was made on her 32nd week. We had to do it early due to threatened pre term labor.
For child #2, it was done today. On my 37th week. Experienced pre term labor this time but experienced it closer to full term.
I had some leftover plaster strips from the Proud Body belly casting kit I purchased 3 years ago (amazon.com).
Hubby is a belly cast master already. He did the 2nd one with limited supplies (just leftovers). See how perfect it is!
Cast 1 was mounted using a canvass frame I bought from national bookstore which I painted black (fabric paint). I lined the canvass with a fancy ribbon and asked hubby to drill holes on the cast. Bought some gold ribbons and hung the cast using a small white metal hook.
Cast 2 is raw plaster. Still waiting for it to dry so I can color and mount.
